I hope and trust that all is well with you and yours and that this message reaches you in the best of health and spirits. On Saturday, September 29, 2018, our 33rd Western Regional Director, Mark Armstrong, appointed me as the NW Area Director encompassing the great states of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana during our Fall Board meeting in Tucson, AZ. It is an honor to serve within this population of our wondrous band as we continue to build upon our ideals of Brotherhood, Scholarship and Service.

As Area Director, I will emphasize the importance of focusing on our “5R” initiative to include the development of those strategies aligned with recruitment, retention, reactivation, reclamation, and relationships. Identifying outcomes and providing structure to these areas will only strengthen our programmatic and operational targets as a collective.

To kick off my initiatives within the NW Area, I would like to extend a personal invitation for you to join me in the beautiful city of Seattle, WA as I host the Fall Membership Development Institute (MDI) at TAF Bethaday Community Learning Space. This event will take place on Saturday, November 3, 2018, in the smart classrooms with registration and continental breakfast starting at 10:00 AM PST.

10:14 AM will officially catapult all participants into a working day focusing on the overall state of the NW Area, Recruitment Strategies, MIP, and much more. Our special guest for the day will be our very own 33rd Western Region Director, Bro. Mark Armstrong and our newly elected 2nd Vice, Bro. Trenton Joiner.
