The 2025 Black College Expo held at Sofi Stadium gave thousands of students the chance to explore over 200 different college and universities. HBCUs in attendace were Claflin, Florida A&M, Grambling, Morehouse, Xavier of New Orleans, and Savannah State.
Organized by the National College Resources Foundation (NCRF), the expo was part of what NCRF founder and CEO Dr. Theresa Price referred to as "HBCU Week." Dr. Price emphasized the event's goal to address high school dropout rates and boost enrollment in degree or certificate programs. "I wanted to ensure this is a place where people can learn about the rich history and legacy of HBCUs," she said.
This year's event was held in partnership with the Honda Battle of the Bands. Phi Beta Sigma Chapter - Los, Angeles, CA along with other members of the Divine 9 in attendance shared valuable insights about their respective organization with attendees.
In addition to the college fair, seminars were held to prepare students for the next steps in their educational journeys. College recruiters were also on hand, offering immediate acceptances, with some students receiving partial or full scholarships based on their GPAs.
