As leaders within this wondrous band of brotherhood, we recognize that the cost of education is on a consistent rise throughout universities and colleges. As part of our duty to give back to the brotherhood, we are continuing to offer scholarships to assist in the cost of education.

This award is provided to Sigma Men who are financial for the current year (2023) and pursuing a degree, and meet all criteria listed in this application form

1. The recipient must:
       ✓ Be currently admitted and attending an accredited college or university.
       ✓ Must be a financial member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., in good standing.
       ✓ Must have a GPA of 2.75 or better (on a 4.0 scale) from the Fall 2022 to Spring/Summer 2023.
       ✓ Must submit an unofficial transcript.
       ✓ The file names for the essay response, transcript, resume, recommendation letter, and headshot must
       include your first and last name and what it is. (Example: Marcus Chanay Essay Response)

       ✓ Must submit a completely executed and signed Sigma Scholarship application

IF MORE APPLICATIONS ARE RECEIVED THAN CAN BE FUNDED WITH THE MONIES AVAILABLE, THE APPLICATIONS WITH THE HIGHEST GRADE POINT AVERAGES, AND WHICH MEETS ALL OF THE OTHER CRITERIA WILL BE GIVEN FIRST PREFERENCE FOR THE AWARD.

2. Rules and Regulations:

• All entries into this application form and its attachments must be true and accurate.
  
• All copies of transcripts can be unofficial and must represent a full-time student for Fall and Spring semesters of the school year.
• Once you have received any Fall PBS Scholarship award, any instance of criminal activities will disqualify you from any future, additional, or continuing awards.
• All awardees must conduct themselves on/off the campus in a way which garners the respect of other students on/off the campus, and all officials of the university.
• Your application must be turned submitted by September 15th at Midnight Pacific Standard Time.
• Winners will be announced and scholarship funding will started to be disbursed in October.

Please note: The selection of scholarship recipients will be influenced by the completeness, qualifications, and good standing within your chapter.

The deadline is September 15, however, I would like all Western Region Applicants to have submitted by September 4, 2023 for time-value purposes!
