Education Update
"Education is the key to unlock the golden door of freedom to our people", Bro. Dr. George Washington Carver
Esteemed Bro. Amari Jackson of the Lambda Iota chapter at San Diego State University was inducted into the Alain Locke Scholar Honors Chapter during Conclave 2023. Majoring in Psychology with a minor in Africana Studies, Bro. Jackson maintained a 3.8 GPA. Bro. Jackson was the sole inductee for the Western Region and is now recognized as Esteemed. The Alain Leroy Locke Scholar Honors Chapter serves as the highest distinction a Collegiate Brother can obtain during their collegiate years and recognizes high academic achievement and leadership.
To be eligible, a financial collegiate Brother must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 (with a minimum of 75 credit hours), and have been in the Fraternity at least two full semesters, prior to application submission during the conclave year. As a region, we must commit to admitting new brothers who are academically high achieving, promote and maintain achievement, and provide scaffolding to help collegiate brothers to achieve more.
