Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., Omicron Iota Sigma Chapter - San Diego, CA Brothers would like for you to mark your calendar to attend their upcoming 2nd Annual Mental Health Symposium entitled "Self & Community Care During Covid-19" scheduled for Saturday, October 31st at 1:00 PM PDT.

COVID-19 has placed significant strain on us as individuals, families, and our nation as a whole. Not to mention the pandemic and the economic downturn it has caused disproportionately in communities of color.

Even as some restrictions on business and social activity are lifting, the economy is slow to bounce back. With recovery seemingly stalled, data show more people nationwide have come to rely on our country’s social and health care safety net during this crisis. That includes Medicaid—the country’s largest and fastest growing safety net program—as well as nutritional assistance and unemployment insurance.
