LA Frat Games Crown Returns Home
The Sigmas won the 2018 LA Frat Games Softball Championship on Sunday, August 18, 2018. The team made up of various brothers throughout the Los Angeles Metropolitan area finished the season with a record of 5-2 and defeated the Men of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., in an exciting championship game by the score of 9-8.
Lead by their captain, Bro. Sidney Jackson Jr., the team was able to avoid the injury bug that plagued them last season to return to their 2016 championship form.
"A great season and great brotherhood showed by all the fraternities good hard honest competition and camaraderie across the board and a beautiful culture for us as black people of all walks of life to come together and enjoy Sunday at the Ballpark", stated Bro. Reggie Flenory.
This year's team comprised of both alumni and collegiate brotherf from the following schools: UCLA, San Diego State University, Clarke-Atlanta University, Morehouse College, Long Beach State University, University of Montana, Cal State University, Dominguez, USC, University Arkansas Pine Bluff, Southern Arkansas University, Cal State University, Los Angeles, Cal State University, Northridge, Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville, & Cal State University, Fullerton.
