Sigma Business Partners
Since the December 1924 launch of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity's first national program of Bigger and Better Business, the Fraternity has remained intent on encouraging minority-owned businesses to improve their business acumen, efficiency and service to the public in order to favorably compete with other businesses.
We're calling on all chapters to gear up and establish vital relationships with local businesses in your community. We're naming these community staples our Sigma Business Partners.
Here's your action items:
Chapters are encouraged to adopt/partner with small minority-owned businesses:
(Alumni 3-5 businesses) (Collegiate 1-2 businesses)- Invite them to your chapter to talk about their goods or services.
- Patronize, promote and spotlight within your community.
- Capture service hours and dollars spent with or raised for these businesses due Sigma events.
- Feature these businesses on your chapter websites, newsletters, social media etc.
- TSeek businesses from the Sigma Business Network. LET'S PROMOTE OUR BROTHERS!
Target Date 9/30/2018
Direct these businesses to sessions offered by:
- SMALL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION
- U.S. BLACK CHAMBER
- NATIONAL BLACK CHAMBER
- NATIONAL URBAN LEAGUE
