Man of Distinction
Bro. Dr. Theo Fowles was named the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Omicron Rho Zeta Chapter Man of Distinction for 2018 at their 13th Annual Scholarship Brunch. Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Omicron Rho Zeta Chapter hosted its 13th Annual Scholarship Brunch at the Belamar Hotel in Manhattan Beach, California. The Inglewood Graduate Chapter of Omicron Rho Zeta was chartered in 1993 for the purpose of promoting high ideals and scholastic achievement, encouraging literary, scientific and social advancement, cultural enrichment, and civic responsibility. It is in the spirit of their founders that they offer scholarships, and with great happiness that they continue the work of their beloved organization by supporting our future leaders on their quest for education.
Omicron Rho Zeta Chapter gave out scholarships to several outstanding high school seniors and honored the following individuals: Regina Myles - "Zeta of the Year", Kaneca Pompey- "Unsung Dove", Dr. Darneika Watson-Davis- "Educator of the Year", Theo Fowles - "Man of Distinction". Bro. Fowles is currently the Assistant Director of the Center for Black Cultural & Student Affairs at the University of Southern California. He also the 2nd Vice President of the Kappa Delta Sigma Chapter | Carson, CA. Bro. Fowles is a tireless advocate for students and the community of South Los Angeles who has a broader interest in in learning how to integrate entertainment, social media and academics to create leaders inside and outside of the classroom, and is especially focused on supporting students of color.
