Boobie Beats 2017

This year, more than 211,300 women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with breast cancer, and more than 39,800 women will lose their lives. Breast cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer for women in America. The women alpha Kappa Delta Phi proudly promotes their National Philanthropy focus as Breast Cancer Awareness, a project dedicated to increasing both public knowledge and ideally influencing early detection rates. "Boobie Beats" is their annual Breast Cancer Awareness showcase hosted each year in October; it's an evening filled with great performances, music, and fun. Leading up to Boobie Beats is a week full of fundraising and spreading awareness about Breast Cancer within the University of Washington and the community.

Alpha Kappa Delta Phi International Sorority, Pi Chapter at the University of Washington invited the Men of Sigma to perform at their 19th Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Showcase. Immediately following the performance, Kappa Lambda Chapter advisory team member, Bro. Anthony Buchanan stated, "Statistics show there is a new diagnosis of breast cancer in the U.S. made every 3 minutes, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., proudly presents a donation for $150.00 representative of that fact and your 50 active chapters and colonies. Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., Kappa Lambda chapter is honored to be invited to perform at an event supporting such an important cause".
